Taiju fights to allow Takemichi and Naoto to escape, but midway, Takemichi decides to turn back to talk to Inui and Koko. They are stopped by Kisaki, and Naoto is mortally wounded after taking a bullet meant for Takemichi. Izana orders Kakucho to shoot Takemichi as revenge for causing Mikey's death. Before Takemichi and Naoto die, they shake hands.
Takemichi learns that Mikey's second-in-command Ken Ryūgūji aka "Draken" will eventually be killed and lead to Mikey becoming violent. Draken survives the rumble, but Pah-chin turns himself to the police after stabbing Moebius' leader Osanai, which later causes infighting within the Toman. Takemichi finally resolves Mikey and Draken's dispute.
