Hendrick Motorsports race shop in Concord, North Carolina. What is now Hendrick Motorsports was founded prior to the 1984 season by Rick Hendrick, a Charlotte, North Carolina–based car dealership owner who currently operates a network of dealerships called Hendrick Automotive Group.
