Opened in 1885, it was one of the largest beer halls of the Bürgerliches Brauhaus. Bürgerliches merged with Löwenbräu, which thereby became the hall's owner. The old Archipelago Brewery was re-commissioned on 24 July 2006, with internationally acclaimed brewmaster, Fal Allen.
