Heriot Bay is the principal settlement on Quadra Island in British Columbia, Canada. Heriot Bay hosts a ferry terminal that is used by BC Ferries to sail to and from Whaletown on Cortes Island. There is also a government dock, maintained by the Quadra Island Harbour Authority, and the marina at the Heriot Bay Inn.
The island has many beaches, trails, lakes, and parks. Main Lake Provincial Park is located on the northern part of the island, and Rebecca Spit Marine Provincial Park is on the eastern shore, near Heriot Bay. Quadra Island is about 35 kilometres (22 miles) from its northernmost point to its southernmost point.

Quathiaski Cove is the commercial hub of Quadra Island and point of arrival for the regular BC Ferries service between Campbell River on Vancouver Island and Quadra Island.
Gowlland Tod Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. The park protects 1,219 hectares (3,012 acres) of mixed forest of Douglas-fir , Arbutus , western redcedar , western hemlock , shore pine , grand fir , red alder , and Garry oak within the District Municipality of Highlands and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area.
The Pender Post is the island's locally-owned independent newspaper, which has been operating since 1971. The owner of another local news provider, Island Tides, went on sabbatical in the summer of 2017 and has not resumed publishing. In 2009, the institute purchased the former Hakai Beach Resort on Calvert Island. The fishing lodge was converted to an ecological observatory and opened the following spring to host the 2010 Coastal Guardian Watchmen conference. In 2014, the institute established a second ecological observatory on Quadra Island near the town of Campbell River.
