Distribution of penis sizes by length. 45% of erect penises are between 12 and 14 cm long. [2] Distribution of penis sizes by circumference. 81% of erect penises (green) are between 10 and 13 cm in circumference. [2]
Hand size and foot size do not correlate with human penis size, but finger length ratio may. While pregnancies from sex between first cousins do carry a slightly elevated risk of birth defects, this risk is often exaggerated. The risk is 5–6% (similar to that of a woman in her early 40s giving birth), compared with a baseline risk of 3–4%.
The study, published Feb. 15 in The World Journal of Men’s Health, examined data from 75 different studies between 1942 and 2021 that recorded the penis size of their study participants.
The 2D:4D ratio is calculated by dividing the length of the index finger by the length of the ring finger of the same hand. Other digit ratios are also calculated similarly in the same hand. The digit length is typically measured on the palmar (ventral, "palm-side") hand, from the midpoint of the bottom crease to the tip of the finger. [8]
Pulling data from 17 previous academic papers that included a total of 15,521 men worldwide, researchers in the UK came up with a meta-analysis of what they believe to be the average penis size ...
A large-scale study assessing penis size in thousands of 17- to 19-year-old males found no difference in average penis size between 17-year-olds and 19-year-olds. From this, it can be concluded that penile growth is typically complete not later than age 17, and possibly earlier.
The discussion seems to go on and on about trying to correlate penis size to other body part size, but for some reason articles (like this one) always omit the primary logical basis of this presumption, being that male puberty includes hormonal enlargement of features: the genitals, hands, feet, nose, shoulders, etc.
There's an even older study by Schoenfeld and Beebe (1942) that may have different numbers. You may also want to get an article by Fischer (1964) that relates penis length to body height. In any case, it seems that penis size, like most things in biology, does have a normal distribution. Finally, all this energy about length is misspent.
