Abingdon School is an independent day and boarding school in Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. It is the twentieth oldest independent British school . [ 1 ] In May 2024, Abingdon announced it would be moving to co-education , and would be fully co-educational by 2030.

The schoolroom was constructed on the south side of the gateway of the former Abingdon Abbey, on Bridge Street. The school lasted 300 years until it moved to a site near Albert Park (Abingdon School today) in 1870. [3] Abingdon School was also known as Roysses School until the 1960s. [1]
