"Hardwired" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the lead single from their tenth studio album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct (2016), on August 18, 2016, as a download. [1] [2] The song was first played live near the end of the band's show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 20, 2016. [3]
Metallica released the first single from the album, "Hardwired", that same day; those who pre-ordered the album through the band's official website received an instant download of the song. The album artwork, created by Herring & Herring, [ 24 ] and the music video for "Hardwired" were also released. [ 25 ]

Megaforce Records is an American independent record label founded in 1982 by Jon Zazula and his wife Marsha Zazula to release the first works of Metallica, and devoted primarily to hard rock and heavy metal. It has offices in New York City (where the corporate office is located) and Philadelphia.
Zazula released Metallica's debut album Kill 'Em All and set up an East Coast tour with private funding. [2] After the success of Kill 'Em All, Zazula signed and worked with other artists, including Disco Biscuits, Warren Haynes, Testament, Tad, Overkill, Frehley's Comet, King's X, Fozzy, Ministry, [2] and Anthrax. In 2011, Metallica released the album Lulu in collaboration with Lou Reed. 72 Seasons is the eleventh studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on April 14, 2023, by their own record label Blackened Recordings. 72 Seasons was produced by Greg Fidelman, who produced the band's previous studio album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct (2016), and is the band's second studio album to be released through Blackened.
