The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, also known as The Conrad, is a concert hall in La Jolla, a community of San Diego, California. It was opened in April 2019 and serves as the permanent residence of the La Jolla Music Society.
Conrad Prebys (August 20 1933 – July 24 2016) was a property developer and philanthropist based in San Diego, California. [1] [2] Prebys was born on August 20 1933 in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University. [1] [3] He moved to San Diego in 1965 and co-founded Progress Construction. He bought out his partner in 1980.

The site of the Green Dragon Colony, but not its buildings, was listed as a San Diego Historical Landmark in 1973 (HRBS 84). The only other designated site in La Jolla was the La Jolla Woman's Club. In 1986, four of the remaining cottages were designated as historic by the City of San Diego Historical Site Board.
