A plat map that shows the location of a lot for sale. In the United States, a plat (/ p l æ t / [1] or / p l ɑː t /) [2] (plan) is a cadastral map, drawn to scale, showing the divisions of a piece of land.
The town was platted by John D. Standish in 1871, who owned all of the land in the vicinity. Before the plat was formally recorded, Standish sold off some of his land in the area. The town was initially named "Granton". John Standish owned the town's first business, a sawmill, he later had the town name changed back to Standish.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 5,930 people, 2,354 households, and 1,727 families residing in the township. The population density was 91.1 inhabitants per square mile (35.2/km 2).
Kingsford is a city in Dickinson County, Michigan, United States. Its population was 5,139 at the 2020 census, a slight increase from the 5,133 recorded at the 2010 census. It was named for the developer Edward G. Kingsford.
Plat maps identify four divisions: Lakeridge Division #1 is the easternmost and closest to Lake Washington. Divisions #2, #3, and #4 are located successively higher up the hillside to the west and continue over the ridge top. Division #3 spans the border of unincorporated King County and the City of Seattle.
