Victoria Falls (Lozi: Mosi-oa-Tunya, "Thundering Smoke"; Tonga: Shungu Namutitima, "Boiling Water") is a waterfall on the Zambezi River, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. [2] It is one of the world's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m (5,604 ft).
Virginia Falls (Slave: Nailicho [1]) is a waterfall in Nahanni National Park Reserve, Northwest Territories, Canada. It is on the South Nahanni River , at an elevation of 500 m (1,600 ft). [ 2 ] It is located 120 km (75 mi) from the Yukon border.
Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi River, is a spectacular example of this. The gorges visible by satellite imagery illustrate the erosional processes behind the formation of the falls. Here, much of the surface rock is a massive basalt sill , with large cracks filled with easily weathered sandstone made visible by the Zambezi's course across the land.

[5] The damming of the river and the presence of industry have greatly altered the lands surrounding the waterfall, and the fall's appearance.
