Virginia Hill (born Onie Virginia Hill; August 26, 1916 – March 24, 1966) was an American organized crime figure. An Alabama native, she became a Chicago Outfit courier during the mid-1930s. [ 4 ] She was famous for being the girlfriend of mobster Bugsy Siegel .
Siegel’s mob partners were convinced that an estimated US$1 million of the construction budget overrun had been skimmed by Siegel's girlfriend Virginia Hill or by both of them. On June 20, 1947, Siegel was shot dead at the age of 41 by a sniper through the window of Hill's Linden Drive mansion in Beverly Hills, California.
When growing up there, Brickman chose as her role model Virginia Hill, girlfriend of gangster Bugsy Siegel. Brickman said of Hill, "here was a broad that really made it good." [2] As a teenager Brickman became involved with Italian mobsters, hanging out in Mafia nightclubs, seducing them in Cadillacs, and in later years running drugs. [2]
