The Governor's School of International Studies is one of the six schools that make up the New Jersey Governor's School program. Since its creation in 2000, the program has been held at Ramapo College in Mahwah, in Bergen County, New Jersey and aims to teach scholars about diplomacy and international cultures.
The 2014 Governor's School of Engineering and Technology offered admission to 88 students from over 325 finalists. All had first to be nominated by their respective high schools. In 2016, due to large cutbacks, the Governor's School of the Sciences could only accept 58 students, from applicants from more than 300 schools across New Jersey.

In 2003, governor James McGreevey created the New Jersey Community Colleges Compact, through Executive Order No. 81, as a statewide partnership to enable cooperation between the colleges and various state departments.

In 2004, the AIIH&PH became affiliated to the newly formed West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). [citation needed] In March 2023 Government planning to revive The institute, transforming it into a world-class ‘School of Public Health’ also plans to convert it into a Deemed university/Deemed Public Health University.
