Most schools in Kuwait are public schools which educate in the Arabic language. There are, however, a few schools which run under Indian Central Board of Secondary Education , British , American and French systems, or a combination of languages.
In 1963, a group of American parents began the process of forming a new international school in Kuwait. This new school's first term began in September, 1964, in the Dasman Area of Sharq, Kuwait, and was known as the International School of Kuwait. [3] In 1969, the ASK Campus separated into two campuses, with one in Salwa and one in Surra.
Dasman (Arabic: دسمان, romanized: Dasmān) is a seaside district of Kuwait City in Kuwait. It is notable for hosting the Dasman Palace, which previously housed members of the House of Al Sabah and was the site of the Battle of Dasman Palace in 1990 during the Gulf War. [ 2 ]
