Until January 19, 2025, it was one of the two hardcore championships promoted by the promotion, alongside the GCW Extreme Championship, until both titles was unified, retiring the second one.

The title was introduced on February 5, 2005 at CZW's Only the Strong event. It has since been retired after being unified with the CZW World Heavyweight Championship.
