Batemans Bay is administered by the Eurobodalla Shire council. The town is situated on the shores of an estuary formed where the Clyde River meets the southern Pacific Ocean. Batemans Bay is located on the Princes Highway about 280 kilometres (170 mi) from Sydney and 760 km (470 mi) from Melbourne.
Shipwright's Cottage is a historic house built c. 1875 and located at 900 Innes Avenue in India Basin, San Francisco, California. The Innes baronetcy, of Balvenie in the County of Banff, was created in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia on 15 January 1628 for Robert Innes, with remainder to heirs male whatsoever. [ 1 ] The line of the 1st Baronet failed on the death of the 8th Baronet in 1817.
