Vikramaditya might have been a real king. There is the Vikram Calendar which is supposed to have been started by him after defeating the Sakas. A Chinese traveler to India has written about a King Vikramaditya and that he was supposed to be generous. However it is a little difficult to believe that his rule extended from Arabia to Indonesia.
There is strong evidence that there was also a previous expedition in 1473 to "Terra Nova do Bacalhau" (New land of the Codfish) by João Vaz Corte-Real. I marked "Fort Craig & Camino Real" where there are the remains of Fort Craig and a huge monument to the Camino Real. Fort Craig was built in 1854 by the US Army and was one of the largest US forts in the western part of the country. Until 2016, a big museum dedicated to the Camino Real operated to the east of the monument to this Spanish road.
