This is a list of the futsal competitions past and present for international teams and for club futsal, in individual countries and internationally. The competitions are grouped by organizing authority: FIFA (international association), the six confederations (continental associations), the federations (national associations) and the AMF (international association).
Futsal is an association football-based sport played on a hardcourt like a basketball court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. [1] Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted.
Each CONMEBOL member has its own futsal league system. Clubs playing in each top-level league compete for the title as the country's club champions.
