Homes built on Bothell between 1905 and 1925 were suburban with post–Victorian and Craftsman styles. [4] The Sorenson House was built in 1922 on a 4-acre (1.6 ha) parcel of land given to James Sorenson by his father in law Alfred Pearson. Pearson was a local logger and contemporary of the town's founder David Bothell.
The Anderson School, designed by Seattle architect Earl W. Morrison, [2] was built in 1931 and opened as Bothell Junior High, later renamed after the school's first principal, Wilbert A. "Andy" Anderson. [3] The school was purchased by the city of Bothell in 2009 and sold to McMenamins in 2010. [4] The hotel was redeveloped and opened in 2015. [5]
Leaving Bothell, SR 522 then travels around the southern edge of University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College campus and intersects I-405, becoming a grade-separated freeway.
