To frame all the walls, visualize a second 2"x2" next to the ones on the front and back walls. The cross-pieces would be between those. PM your email and I will send you the PDF that has the drawings, materials, instructions, and some more photos. Re: deer blind plans [Re: hotrod3367] #6684528 02/23/17 05:38 AM.

Cut the 1x4's the same width as the side, but stagger them by the width of the 1x4. This way you can carry the panels to the field and "Lock the sides together". If you predrill the holes at home, all you have to do is insert a lag bolt in the center of the 1x4's where they overlap. Can assemble the entire deer blind by your self.

5x5 is a nice stand size especially for one person. If you do the math, you actually get more square feet out of that than a 4x6. One of the problems is buying the material, which normally comes in 4x8 sheets, unless that is you go metal and can get it in that size. Re: 5x5 stand [Re: Southtexas36] #3525837 08/30/12 12:46 AM.

I built a new stand this year. It's a 5x6 which gives plenty of leg room and I can shoot the bow out of it fairly well. The plans are on my website for free. I couldn't find the plans I wanted to so hopefully this helps somebody. The plans were created with Sketchup and it's free to download and use. Or you could just print out the pictures.

Then will you be bowhunting out of the stand, if yes that can change all of the best of plans. Chairs can be changed out to make a blind window work, a chair can be changed out to also cover shooting down hill or setting the blind on a tall tower.

  11. Tie-Downs for a Tower Stand - Texas Hunting Forum

Tie a piece of 1/2" +/- rope to the middle of the bottom of the stand and then to the top of the anchor. Screw the anchor again until it's tight. If it loosens through the year just a quick turn tightens it again. Nylon rope stretches some and helps keep tension. Do not use any of the "poly" ropes.
