Following the events of the season premiere, "LA X", Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews) arrives at the home of his brother, Omer (), and Omer's wife, Nadia (Andrea Gabriel).Late one night, Omer tells Sayid that he recently borrowed a substantial amount of money from a loan shark but had paid it back.
Sayid tells his torturer about the plane crash and the French transmission the survivors heard when they first crashed on the island. The torturer then identifies herself as Danielle Rousseau, the woman who sent out the transmission.
