Udaan is the soundtrack album to the 2010 film of the same name directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Anurag Kashyap Films and UTV Spotboy. The soundtrack featured six songs composed by Amit Trivedi and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Anurag Kashyap .
Udaan was released on 16 July 2010 with 200 prints in India. [28] In addition to the Indian release, it was released in Singapore, Australia, South Africa and the United States. [ 5 ] The film underperformed at the box office, earning ₹ 33.5 million (US$390,000) at the box office against a budget of ₹ 50 million (US$580,000).
The songs are a blend of rock, soul, folk and worldbeat. The band also released the first music video filmed on Aikon Baaikon , a track from the album. Apart from Barua, the band members are Pawan Rasaily (lead guitar), Ibson Lal Baruah (rhythm guitar), Manas Chowdhary (bass guitar) and Partho Goswami (drums).
