498. Location. Western Colorado. The western side of 82 is private and low elevation, most likely will not be elk there during archery. The eastern side of 82 is fairly steep except for the lowest terrain. The elk will be up high in this area. Access to the east is limited due to the private property in the valley.

It definitely can very, but i think generally mid to latter part of Sept is the best bet. Quite a few factors like weather, pressure, elevation can change things from area to area.
Hey guys. September will be me and my brother's first elk experience. We've all been doing a lot of research and scrolling over old threads and gathering all the info we can. The units we are considering are 82,83,62,and 65, now September is still a ways off and I'm sure we will change are minds several times between now and then.
