The Blythe Heat were a professional baseball team based in Blythe, California. They played in the Arizona Winter League, a short-season instructional winter league affiliated with the North American League. They began play in 2007 and played their home games at Alexander Field in Blythe.

For the 2010 season, eight teams return once again to the AWL. With the Golden Baseball League's Calgary Vipers replacing the Palm Springs Chill, who were dropped. The league will now feature an American Division consisting of the Yuma Scorpions, Blythe Heat, San Luis Atleticos, and San Diego Surf Dawgs.
The Scorpions played in the American Division, as well as the Arizona RoadRunners, Blythe Heat, Long Beach Armada, and Somerton Stingers. The team has played their home games at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, Arizona since 2007 in the AWL and 2005 in the GBL/NAL.
The Blythe Heat was a winter professional minor league baseball team of the Arizona Winter League, and also a member of the Arizona Summer League, but the leagues folded in 2017. They play on Alexander Field in Todd Park facing the Palo Verde College.

The team name once belonged to the St. George RoadRunners of the Golden Baseball League (which has since been absorbed into the new North American League).The GBL RoadRunners played for four seasons from 2007 to 2010, before ownership, financial and stadium issues forced the team to fold after the 2010 season.
In 2008, they were placed in the new American Division for the 2009 season along with the Blythe Heat, Palm Springs Chill and Yuma Scorpions. The Surf Dawgs participated in a Lucha & Baseball exhibition game on June 25, 2009, along with some professional wrestlers against the Tucson Toros , which they won 8-3.
