Ninjago focuses on a group of six teenage ninja, named Lloyd Garmadon, Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane and Nya, and their wise sensei, Master Wu. The ninja team's purpose is to battle against the forces of evil, including Wu's brother, Lord Garmadon.
Wu's Teas is a series of twenty Ninjago shorts. It focuses on Wu's new tea shop, "Steeper Wisdom", and their rivalry with the coffee shop. The Overlord defeats Wu and unleashes a powerful weapon that crystalizes all of Ninjago City, destroying the ninja's vehicles. [N 22] Wu takes shelter with a group of paperkids and he broadcasts a message to inspire others. Nya reawakens her elemental powers to save herself and Jay, and they set out to find help.
In the ensuing battle between brothers, the younger brother Wu cast Garmadon down to the Underworld and hid the weapons across Ninjago, placing a dragon to guard each hiding spot. Sensei Wu found four teenage ninja to find the Golden Weapons to save Ninjago from Garmadon and his Skulkin army.
With Wu out of action Lloyd tries to rally the Ninja, while Kai continues to struggle with Krux's claim that his parents were traitors. The Vermillion raid Ninjago city in search of metal, and Kai takes Cole and Jay off to confront them in defiance of Lloyd's orders and are joined by Ronin, Dareth, Nya, and a still malfunctioning Zane.
Wu encourages him, hoping to teach the Ninja a lesson about unity. Meanwhile, Pythor releases the Venomari and Constrictai Tribes from their tombs and plans to unite them under his leadership. The Ninja infiltrate their meeting and, inspired by Lloyd's pranks, manipulate the tribes into fighting each other.
