The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for high schools in the state of Nevada.In addition, five schools in the state of California (Coleville, Needles, North Tahoe, South Tahoe, and Truckee) and one from Arizona (Beaver Dam) are also members as the schools are geographically isolated from other in-state schools.

He grew up in Sparks, Nevada and attended Spanish Springs High School. Dailton trained at Gym Nevada under Wanda Fredericks and Andrew Pileggi. After graduating, he received an NCAA scholarship to compete for the University of Oklahoma in 2009 [1] where he earned All-America honors and won the NCAA men's gymnastics floor and vault titles in 2011.
The school's baseball and basketball programs won state championships in 1955, 1956 and in 1959. In 1959 Paul Hornyak, senior point guard, was the first High School All-American in basketball for the state of Nevada. The school's football program has won the Tri-State Championship in 1955. And the second in 1960 in Class 2A.
