Oman Medical College was a medical college in the Sultanate of Oman. It was situated in Muscat and Sohar in the North Batinha region. The pharmacy campus was located in Bowsher. In 2018, Oman Medical College merged with Caledonian College of Engineering to form the National University of Science and Technology.
There are four colleges in the university. They are College of Engineering: The number of students is around 4000, from nationalities, and around 400 multinational academic, administrative and support staff. College of Medicine and Health Sciences: This is the only private College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Oman. It was established in 2001.
University Of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) (Arabic: الجامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية) is a public university operating in 9 governorates in Oman. It has 11 different branches spread over the different part of the country.
Middle East College (MEC) is a private college [citation needed] based in Muscat, Oman. It is one of the leading higher education institution in the Sultanate of Oman, [2] with over 5,100 students. MEC is affiliated to Coventry University, UK. [3] It is located in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat.

The University of Buraimi (UOB) [1] (Arabic: جامعة البريمي) is a private university in the Al Buraimi Governorate in the Northern part of Oman. The university opened on 6 November 2010. The university is a product of a European-Omani consortium, and offers programs under Omani and European control. [2]
