Monza's first crest was designed in 1920: [160] it depicted a blue shield with a red border, with a golden Corona Ferrea inside. [161] The text "AC Monza" was written in black inside a white horizontal band on top of the shield. [161] The crest remained in use until 1932, when Monza's colours changed to red and white. [161]

The club was formed in 1912 as Monza Foot-Ball Club, and first took part in the Terza Categoria (third level) in the 1913–14 season as AC Monza. [ 1 ] Monza first played in the Coppa Italia – the Italian domestic cup – in the 1926–27 season , where they reached the third round. [ 2 ]
On 1 September 2022, Izzo joined newly-promoted Serie A side Monza on a one-year loan. [5] He made his debut on 5 September, as a second-half substitute in a 2–0 league defeat to Atalanta . [ 6 ] Following the end of the loan spell, on 5 July 2023, Monza signed Izzo permanently on a three-year deal.
