Marasigan was born and raised in Candelaria, Quezon. He started playing keyboards at the age of 8 and became an organist at his local church choir. [3] He also learned how to play drums, guitar, and bass. Marasigan initially wanted to play bass for Eraserheads, but switched with Buddy Zabala. [3]
