He is primarily known for making modern psychological drama films about the human condition.His projects have garnered critical acclaim and numerous accolades including five Academy Awards, as well as a Special Achievement Award, three Golden Globe Awards, three BAFTA Awards, and two Directors Guild of America Awards.
Bardem was born on 1 March 1969 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, Spain.His mother, Pilar Bardem (1939–2021), was an actress, and his father, José Carlos Encinas Doussinague (1931–1995), was the son of a cattle rancher from the province of Salamanca. [2]
