The 2024–25 figure skating season began on July 1, 2024, and will end on June 30, 2025. During this season, elite skaters will compete at the ISU Championship level at the 2025 European Championships , Four Continents Championships , World Junior Championships , and the World Championships .
The 2025 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships will be held from February 19 to February 23, 2025, at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul, South Korea. Medals will be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The competition was awarded to South Korea in January 2023, originally scheduled to February 4 - 9. [1]
The World Figure Skating Championships have been cancelled 16 times in the competition's history: from 1915 through 1921 due to World War I; from 1940 through 1946 due to World War II; [11] in 1961 as a result of the loss of the entire U.S. Figure Skating team in the crash of Sabena Flight 548; [12] [13] and in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the 1998–1999 season, they were moved to late February/early March, and have been held after the Four Continents Championships .
The 2025 World Figure Skating Championships will be held from March 25-30, 2025, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. [1] The competition will determine the entry quotas for each skating federation at the 2026 World Championships and the 2026 Winter Olympics .
