Cry of Love was an American rock band formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1989. [1] The group released their debut album in 1993, Brother , produced by John Custer , before hitting the road for the next 17 months.
Their first LP, City of Love, was nominated for best debut album at the California Music Awards, along with being voted "Best Bay Area Pop Band" by SF Weekly. After releasing the LP, they toured with Cake and Jonathan Richman. [1] In 2006 they signed to Columbia Records and released their major label debut, Notes from the Underworld. [1]
City of Love is the ninth studio album by Scottish pop rock band Deacon Blue, released through Earmusic on 6 March 2020. It is their first album since 2016's Believers . It was promoted by the lead single, the title track "City of Love".
