In 1992, the battalion was reassigned to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and joined the 17th Field Artillery Brigade. The battalion deployed multiple times to Operation Iraqi Freedom, and moved with the 17th Field Artillery Brigade to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, where it is currently stationed.
