The Casa Grande Union High School – was built in 1920 and is located at 510 E. Florence Boulevard. The building now serves as the Casa Grande City Hall. NRHP listed in 1986, reference #86000821. The Casa Grande Garage – was built in 1922 and is located at 117 N. Sacaton St. it is listed in the Casa Grande Historic Register.
Casa Grande was founded in 1879 during the Arizona mining boom, specifically due to the presence of the Southern Pacific Railroad. In January 1880, the community of Terminus, meaning "end-of-the-line," was established despite consisting of just five residents and three buildings. [5]
By 1914, Hansen subdivided the land in the area into residential lots which he named "Catlin Court" (after his wife's maiden name). Myers together with A.A. Carrick, a local businessman, formed a real estate agency to promote the sale of the lots. Catlin Court became the first organized building expansion and development program in the city. [3]

The bus depot closed in 1972, the same year that the Giants moved to a hotel in Casa Grande. [1] Although from Main Street, the front structure appears to be one building, in large part it is a collection of individual buildings. Coolidge is home of the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. The monument was the first historic site to receive protected status by the United States Government in 1892. Coolidge is also home to both Central Arizona College and the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology.
