Indiana University Northwest (IU Northwest or IUN) is a public university in Gary, Indiana, United States. It is one of seven regional campuses of Indiana University and was established in 1963. The university enrolls approximately 3,500 degree-seeking traditional and non-traditional students along with 1,800 dual-credit students.
Jefferson City is located in northern Jefferson County at (36.116389, -83.486500 It is bordered to the west by New Market , to the south by Dandridge , and to the northeast by Morristown . U.S. Route 11E , the Andrew Johnson Highway, passes through the south side of the city.
SR 92 then leaves Dandridge city limits 2.1 miles (3.4 km) north of I-40, and the route enters Jefferson City city limits and heads north to US 11E where it begins a 1.3-mile-long (2.1 km) concurrency with US 11E. The two routes head west to where US 11E heads west and SR 92 turns northeast on the edge of Jefferson City.
