Yahoo saves a copy of all messages sent through their server, so its possible to see two copies in the sent folder - one copy Outlook saved, one yahoo saved - but only one message was sent. Given my daily email volume, that corresponds to less than 90 days. If I get 10 new emails, the 10 oldest disappear from my inbox. If I delete 100 emails, the 100 oldest emails suddenly reappear in my Inbox. I can see all the email from the Yahoo web client, so something changed in the IMAP connection between Outlook and Yahoo.
Can someone please advise how to fx my Inbox which hhas suddenly changed to very small font and I cannot get it back to normal size. Have tried all the usual going through mail format etc.
Mail App does not sync with my Yahoo email when it is not opening, I don't have the emails received in the box while it is closed. For example, if I open the Mail App at 5pm today, the emails received before 5pm are not shown in the inbox. It would only sync after 5pm.
In Mail, open the Settings (click the gear icon). Click Manage accounts. Select your Yahoo account. Click Delete account from the device. Exit then restart Mail, then add the account again. If that does not work... Open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Scroll down to Mail. Select it.
So, bottom line is: Logout from all devices where you may be logged on to Yahoo mail. Use an alternate web browser to reach the same destination. That destination being https://www.mail.yahoo.com. If the problem persists across browsers, check your settings for Yahoo Mail. You may have changed the Preferences.

I had to open Yahoo Mail with a browser, log in and then go to Settings>Account Security>App Password>Generate App Password and use the temporary password it generated. Then both email clients added the Yahoo account successfully. Perhaps it will work for you too 🤞. AP.
