Fordham University (/ ˈ f ɔːr d ə m /) is a private Jesuit research university in New York City, United States.Established in 1841 and named after the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx in which its original campus is located, Fordham is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit university in the northeastern United States [11] and the third-oldest university in New York State.
McLaughlin led the Fordham Prep basketball team in scoring all three years he was a varsity player and was a unanimous selection to the 1965 All-City First Team. Marymount College, Tarrytown (also known as Marymount College of Fordham University) was a women's college in the United States which eventually became part of Fordham University. The Marymount campus was located in Tarrytown, New York. [1] The last class graduated in 2007, [2] and the campus was sold in 2008.
