Richard Gerrard Perryn was born in 1791 in Trafford Hall. In 1822 he married Harriet Barbara Hatfield the daughter of Alex Hatfield of Twickenham. Unlike his parents who rented Trafford Hall to tenants, Richard Gerrard Perryn lived there with his family for the rest of his life. He had five children, three sons and two daughters.
