The community is open to all people of all styles! Hotel California Solo - 2 month progression. Need major guidance. Thats not bad at all..maybe play with your tone a little..and just practice it more. This is my main takeaway. The performance is solid. But the guitar tone lacks the clarity to make it shine.
I think Hotel California is definitely doable. The challenge of this one is the nuance. The bends, for example, are pretty precise. And the solo is actually 2 solos - Don Felder and Joe Walsh are trading licks, which means you’re approximating 2 different soloists’ styles. I also like the ending arpeggios (2 of them in harmony) for practicing.
Does anyone have the bass tabs for the guitar/bass solo from this video: They Said I Can't Play Guitar Solos on Bass... So I Played Them - YouTube So I Played Them - YouTube Really want to play Hotel California and Sultans of Swing but if you have the tabs from the other solos please send them too!
Hello! Great video! Just one sma suggestion regarding the subreddit, if you don't use Backing Track in the title the AutoMod won't flag it. Thanks for the post! 308K subscribers in the guitarlessons community. A subreddit dedicated to learning guitar.

Hey, great job, especially for six months!! This solo has a special place in my heart. As you become more proficient with your fretting hand I suggest looking to use the pinky more often. At about 53 sec when you're bending the B string to a follow-on note on the E string, you bar that latter note with your ring finger.

In this lesson I show you how to play the guitar solo for Hotel California by the Eagles. I think this is one of the greatest classic rock guitar solos of all time and well worth learning. While I play the guitar solo you can follow along with the guitar tab at the bottom.
Check out this. While it doesn't have the measures like you wanted, each chord is only played for one measure throughout the whole song. The intro, verses, and solo are the same sequence just repeated: Am E7 G D F C Dm E7 (one measure each). And the chorus (also one measure each): F C E7 AM F C Dm E.
I’m going to audition for Berklee college of music and this is the solo/song i’m going to use. Can I have some feedback on what I still need to work on so far?
