Fordham Preparatory School (commonly known as Fordham Prep) is an American, independent, Jesuit, boys' college-preparatory school located on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University in the Bronx, a borough of New York City. From its founding in 1841 until 1970, the school was under the direction of Fordham University.
The 2024 Fordham Rams football team represented Fordham University as a member of the Patriot League during the 2024 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by 7th-year head coach Joe Conlin , and played their home games at Coffey Field in The Bronx .
McLaughlin led the Fordham Prep basketball team in scoring all three years he was a varsity player and was a unanimous selection to the 1965 All-City First Team. [1] He then played for the Fordham Rams men's basketball team, where he averaged 10.0 points and 3.3 rebounds over 77 games and helped lead the Rams to an appearance in the 1969 National Invitation Tournament.

The school officially changed its name to Fordham University before the 1908 season and by then they had already sprinkled in a few more established teams, like NYU, Columbia, Rutgers, Princeton, Cornell and Syracuse, to their schedule. For the most however, Fordham still played a small school schedule until the 1920s.
