In June 2014, the Date A Live official Twitter account announced that the light novel series by Kōshi Tachibana would be getting an anime film, [14] with the same announcement being shown at the end of the final episode of Date A Live II (2014). [15] The franchise's official website revealed the full title of the film in December 2014.
