The southern terminus is at the Nebraska-Kansas border near Du Bois. The northern terminus is in the Millard neighborhood of Omaha at an intersection with U.S. Highway 275 (US 275) and N-92. It is a two lane highway except for the section from Springfield north to the southern edge of the Millard neighborhood in Omaha, which is a divided highway.
Chalco is a census-designated place (CDP) in northern Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States, and an adjacent suburb of Omaha, with Chalco lore La Vista located to the southeast. The population was 11,064 at the 2020 census .
An attempt to settle the area was first made in 1857, on the banks of Skull Creek, a half-mile from current-day Linwood. A school was established in 1865, and a postmaster for the settlement, originally named Skull Creek, was appointed in 1868. [4]
Springview was founded circa 1885. [4] It was named for a spring near the town's center, which has since dried up. [5] 160 acres of land for the village was contributed by J. F. Carr, Dave Wisemen, Ed Fleming, and a Mrs. Fleming (Ed’s mother), who each contributed 40 acres.
As of the census [3] of 2000, there were 544 people, 215 households, and 153 families living in the village. The population density was 1,406.8 inhabitants per square mile (543.2/km 2).
Schuyler is a city in Colfax County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 6,211 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Colfax County. [3] The city (as well as the county) is named after former Vice President of the United States, Schuyler Colfax. [4]
