I've got an Echo SRM-225 that I'm considering "upgrading" by replacing the U-turn head with a "Echo Maxi Cut" head (like this). Problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the head off. There's only one nut I can find, and it comes off easily enough.
I would like to know is there a an attachment to turn an echo srm225 or srm230 weedeater into a hedge trimmer. Not the PAS system hedge trimmers. I have multiple weedeaters not being used and spending $600 on a set of pole trimmers is not in the budget at the moment. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
I just thought that I would put my two cents in on this. I have had a lot of trouble with Echo trimmers losing power and have thought about changing to another brand of trimmer myself. I think I have a solution that works very well. It has worked for 3 Echo trimmers that we have now. They all 3 run like new now.
The commercial line are real nice units, we use Echo products and are very happy, currently we run 4-2601 trimmers, 3-PB60HT blowers, 2-2100 blower-vacs, 1-HC1500 hedge trimmer, 1-2400 power source with extra reach clippers & pruning attachments.
I have Echo SRM-210, Echo SRM-2400, and an Echo SRM-261T straight-shaft weed-eaters. I was wondering if anyone knew what the max. size of trimmer line I could use on each of the trimmers listed above. I just purchased some .105 Gatorline and I want to make sure I can use it on all of these trimmers without putting undue stress on the weed-eaters.
I run a small hobby farm, and after getting tired of the junk trimmer I'd picked up at a flea market, I went out and bought an Echo SRM-225 from a local dealer (not a box store). That was last year, and it worked great at the time. Now, I'm getting some real frustrating behavior.
if the filter won't flop to the filler neck, you starve it of fuel. that's exactly what it sounds like is happening. the engine will run in any orientation, yes, but echo obviously didn't weigh the filter enough or make the fuel line so it would flop to the filler neck. if they cut the fuel line so the filter is at the filler neck, like they ...
There was recall on Echo this past year. I know because my trimmer was having a fuel-related problem and did some research here. Took in to the service center last week and the problem is supposed to resolved now. Looks like your model is in the list. Have a look at this thread: Echo recall
I have a echo SRM 210 weedeater that starts but will not run. I have performed the following: Fueled with commercial 50:1, Replaced the air cleaner, Replaced the Spark plug, carburator, muffler and all fuel lines. checked engine port for carbon buildup. No improvement, am at a loss for what else to check or due. Recommendations please.
