Colegio de la Inmaculada is a private Catholic primary and secondary school, located in Lima, Peru. Established by the Society of Jesus in 1878, the school finds its roots in Royal College of San Martin , founded by the Jesuits in 1582.

Bambarén was the fifth of eight siblings, two of whom were also religious. He completed his primary studies in his hometown, and secondary at the Colegio de la Inmaculada in Lima. Bambarén began his religious life in the Jesuit novitiate on April 20, 1944, following studies of letters until he left for Spain in 1949 to study philosophy.
He studied in Colegio de la Inmaculada (The Jesuit Fathers School) in Lima from 1938 to 1948. He was admitted into the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He was a history professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and was ordained a priest by the Society of Jesus in Frankfurt am Main Cathedral on 28 August 1964. [1]
