Akira Fuse (布施 明, Fuse Akira, born December 18, 1947) is a Japanese singer and actor. He debuted in 1965 with the single "Kimi ni Namida to Hohoemi o" ( 君に涙とほほえみを , "Tears and Smiles to You") .
Fuse performed "Kimi wa Bara yori Utsukushī" on December 31, 1979, at the 30th Kōhaku Uta Gassen, an annual New Year's Eve television special produced by NHK. Performing as a member of the White Team, it was his 13th appearance at the event. [12] A jazz version was recorded for Fuse's compilation album 55th Anniversary Special Album in 2021. [13]
