In 1935, he was hired by John Armstrong, owner of Armstrong Nurseries, and established the company's rose development program. He introduced 46 new rose varieties between 1940 and 1981.
Rosa 'Voodoo ', (aka AROmiclea), is a hybrid tea rose cultivar, bred by Jack Christensen in 1984. The rose variety was created from the stock parents: grandiflora 'Camelot'; hybrid tea, 'First Prize'; hybrid tea, 'Typhoo Tea'; and hybrid tea, 'Lolita'.
