The Peninsula Pilots are an amateur baseball team in the Coastal Plain League, collegiate summer baseball league. The team plays its home games at the War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, Virginia. The Pilots first started participating in the Coastal Plain League in 2000.
The Pirates compete in the Coastal Athletic Association. The school's team formerly competed in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, and the Big South Conference. [1] Notably, the 2000-01 Hampton team was one of ten 15 seeds ever to upset a 2 seed in the Round of 64 of an NCAA tournament, defeating Iowa State in the first round.

The Peninsula Pilots was a primary name of the Minor League Baseball franchise located in Hampton, Virginia from 1963–1992. The Pilots played in the Class A Carolina League. Today, Peninsula is home to the summer collegiate baseball team who have adopted the same Peninsula Pilots moniker and are members of the Coastal Plain League.
