Holy Trinity Church, also known as Christ Church, was a parish church in the city centre of York, in England.. The church was first recorded in 1268. It was largely or wholly rebuilt in the 14th century, with a nave, north and south aisles, and a 60-foot high tower, and there were further additions in the 15th century.
The church was a Benedictine monastery founded in 1089 as Micklegate Priory, York by Ralph Paynel, and dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It fronted on Micklegate, in the city of York, England. It was under the care of the Benedictine Abbey of Marmoutier. The site had previously been used for Christ Church, a house of secular canons.

[1] She was baptised on 1 July 1803 at Old St Matthew's Church, Lightcliffe and lived her early years at Cliffe Hill with her parents, older sisters Mary and Elizabeth, and younger brother John, until her family moved to Crow Nest when she was six years old. The church, in 2002. Holy Trinity Church is an active Anglican church in Acaster Malbis, a village in the City of York, in England. It is a grade I listed building. A church has existed on this site since at least the 12th century. It was rebuilt in limestone in about 1320, by the Fairfax family. [1]
