The Nissan NA family of straight-four engines is a series of engines manufactured by Nissan (Nissan Machinery).It is the replacement of the Z series, on which its design is based, and is mostly used in commercial vehicles due to its use of Liquefied petroleum gas for fuel on engines with a "P" suffix code.
The Nissan P engine is a large overhead valve, inline-six cylinder engine manufactured by Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd. from 1959 to 2003 and used in light-duty trucks by Nissan, as well as in the Nissan Patrol. It replaced Nissan's older, sidevalve engines with which it shared its dimensions. [2]
In 1994–1995, some early OBD-II phase-in vehicles experienced a P0300 DTC (random misfire). Engineers determined that road forces being transferred through the TCC were affecting the normal rotational fluctuations of the crankshaft and tricking the ECM into thinking there was a cylinder misfire.
The CG engine is a 1.0 L, 1.3 L or 1.35 L straight-4 piston engine from Nissan's Aichi Kikai division. It is an aluminum DOHC 16-valve design. The engine was developed for use in the Nissan Micra/March K11 series. All engines featured multi-point fuel injection. Redline is at 7300 rpm.
