NTV (Bengali: এনটিভি), styled in lower case as ntv, an acronym of less commonly used National Television, [2] is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel based in the BSEC Building in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. It was launched on 2 July 2003, and is one of Bangladesh's most popular television channels.
Six television channels, namely STV-US, CSB News, Channel 1, Diganta Television, Islamic TV, and Channel 16, have been taken off air. Bangladesh has four state-owned television stations, of which only three broadcast on terrestrial television, which are BTV Dhaka, BTV Chittagong, and Sangsad Television.
