Buckeye Lake. Buckeye Lake is a reservoir in Fairfield, Licking, and Perry counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. [1] The lake was created in the 19th century as the "Licking Summit Reservoir", an important part of the Ohio and Erie Canal project.
